Flower - Depth of Field (DOF)

"A flower, sometimes known as a bloom or blossom, is the reproductive structure found in flowering plants (plants of the division Magnoliophyta, also called angiosperms). The biological function of a flower is to mediate the union of male sperm with female ovum in order to produce seeds. The process begins with pollination, is followed by fertilization, leading to the formation and dispersal of the seeds. For the higher plants, seeds are the next generation, and serve as the primary means by which individuals of a species are dispersed across the landscape."

Most photographers always have a flower set on their albums. Simply because flowers are easy to find, and looks great on their shapes and colors. Flower is part of the nature photography, where in their subject came from natures, it can be landscape, plants, insects, etc.

Some techniques that will give good composition on your flower photograph, is to apply the "depth of field" (DOF). DOF is where in the subject is sharp and acceptable to a human vision and the background is blurred, that will give focus on the subject. Also make sure that the subject and background has enough light to have a better photograph.

These photos were taken from the set of "Sa Hardin ni Inay".
