The DOTr order the management of all tollways nationwide to shift from cash based payments to an independent cashless RFID system, starting Nov. 2, as part of the efforts to minimize COVID 19 transmission. Likewise, the SMC , Autosweep, announced that it is setting up to shift to 100% cashless transactions along all its tollways come January 11, 2021.
