Philippine National Railways (PNR)

The Philippine National Railways (PNR) was developed in the late 1800’s. It was official operation opened on November 24, 1892 from Manila to Dagupan. And in 1940 the railway was extended up to Legaspi, Albay in the South and to San Fernando, La Union in the North.

PNR is currently operating two kinds of train, the new ones with air conditioning system and almost the same with MRT trains. And the other one is the old school trains that been used in a number of decades.

It is now more convenient to used PNR Trains as transportation. The railways were already cleared from residential squatter. You can now enjoy the view specially the different graffiti. It is also the cheaper way of transportation, fare ranges from 10-30 pesos depending on the destination. But you need to catch the train on their schedules.
