What: Miss Philippines Earth Photo Contest
"Meet, Dine with and Shoot Miss Philippines Earth"

GENERAL INFORMATION:
1. The photography contest is open to all amateur and professional photographers
who will register with the Miss Philippines Earth photo contest during the prescribed
registration period.
2. Official entry forms / Registration for photo contest participants will open

3. Deadline for registration will be on May 30, 2011 – Liquid Pool & Lounge
4. Registration Fee is P1500.00 which will cover a six-hour event wherein photographers
will have a chance to meet, dine with and shoot the Miss Philippines Earth finalists
together with the past Miss Philippines Earth winners at Liquid Pool and Lounge of the
Manila Ocean Park on May 30, 2011 @ 6:00 pm. The photography contest will consist of
three phases, wherein:
REGISTRATION:
1. The lovely ladies will be positioned in various areas within the contest venues with
their summer dress and the photographers will have the chance to explore their creative
side and can direct the finalist and past winners to pose for them;
2. Then lovely ladies will be grouped together near the swimming pool; and
3. For the finale, each of the lovely ladies will be walking on a catwalk, in their cocktail
dress where they will pose for photographers at certain areas or points on the catwalk.
Registration shall likewise entitle the photographer to participate in the Miss Philippines
Earth Fun Run Photo Competition.
Registration fee covers a competition ID, plus ten (5) entries of (5R) photographs.
An additional thirty pesos (P30.00) will be charged for every additional photograph
submitted. Each participant will be issued an ID number that will be used in identifying
the Photographs upon submission of the entries. In case of disqualification, registration
fees and entry fees are not refundable.

6. Deadline for submission of Photo – entries will be on

8. Final entries shall be submitted as un-mounted 5”x7” Photo Prints. In must be in an
envelope with the corresponding Miss Philippines Earth photo competition ID number
only.
All 5”x7” (5R) Chemistry-based print Photo entries must be accompanied in a separate
envelope with the corresponding Raw File (e.g NEF, CRW, etc.) in CD format, with
the name of the photographer and his/her ID number on the CD and covering on the
envelope.
9. Entries must be candid shots: not deliberately posed. Although some degree of effort
may be done in posing your subjects.
10. Identifying marks, signs and address to insinuate information of ownership is strictly
prohibited on the photo entry.
11. Judging of the PHOTO Contest will be on
WHEN: June 24, 2011 –12. Decision of the designated Board of Judges shall be final and
unappealable.
13. Awarding of Prizes to Winners will be on
WHEN: June 25, 2011
B. RULES OF THE CONTEST
1. Each contest must have a minimum of ten (10) contestants in order to declare a valid
contest. If entries are less than (10) that category will be declared “NO CONTEST” and
prizes are reverted to the foundation.
2. Photos must be taken from actual events during the Miss Earth Pageant 2011. Pictures
of any Miss Philippines Earth Pageant in previous years will not be allowed and would be
immediately disqualified.
3. All entries must be submitted on or before June 2, 2011 with its duly accomplished
forms. Photographs taken in digital format must be accompanied with the proprietary
Raw format (e.g. NEF, CRW etc.) digital file in CD format, and must be surrendered to
the Soft Sell Activation Inc., 112 Shaw Boulevard Pasig City. Non attachment of these
requirements would mean immediate disqualification.
4. Any digital manipulation is prohibited and shall result to immediate disqualification
of the entry. Post production like exposure control (dodge and burn); Color saturation
(control); creative cropping and conversion to black and white color toning (sepia, blue,
selenium, etc.) as long as its done across the frame and not only in selected areas is
acceptable.
5. All finalists and winning entries shall become the exclusive property of the Miss
Philippines Earth Foundation, Inc. and cannot be reproduced nor reprinted for Publication
without the permission of the Foundation. The photographer may not use the photographs
or variants of that same composition in any other purpose except for his personal
portofolio. Corresponding compensation shall also be accorded the owner of the winning
photograph entries.
6. The photographer shall not be entitled to receive royalties every time the Miss
Philippines Earth Foundation should use his/her photographs in advertisements.
promotions and other form of media publication for the Miss Earth Foundation. Other
than that, Terms and Conditions of the Intellectual Property Rights Law shall apply.
Photographers shall be given photo credits every time applicable.
7. Judging of entries is scheduled on June 3, 2011. Winners will be published in local
dailies in due time with the date and venue of awarding of trophies and prizes.
8. The decision of the BOARD OF JUDGES is final and unappealable.

GRAND PRIZE – P20,000.00 + TROPHY
2ND PRIZE – P15,000.00 + TROPHY
3RD PRIZE – P10,000.00 + TROPHY
TOP 7 WITH CERTIFICATES AND P1,000.00 PESOS
PRIZES FOR THE FUN RUN PHOTO CONTEST:
GRAND PRIZE (OVER-ALL BEST PHOTO) – P5,000.00 + CERTIFICATE
2ND PRIZE (0VER-ALL BEST PHOTO) – P3,000.00 + CERTIFICATE
3RD PRIZE (0VER-ALL BEST PHOTO) – P1,000.00 + CERTIFICATE
WE CAN LOWER THE PRIZE TO 1000 FOR THE MEMBERS OF THIS GROUP.
