Kidapawan City: Stairway to Mt. Apo's Summit Coming Soon

Here is the Original Mt. Apo Photo
When I saw this post "Kidapawan City to build 7-km stairway to Mt. Apo's summit" on Facebook, it immediately caught my attention. The first thing comes to my mind is the effect of it to our beloved nature. It will ruin the natural beauty of Mt. Apo.

So, I checked the link in order for me to read the entire news. But when I opened the Interaksyon website. I noticed the photo of Mt. Apo looks so familiar, but it was credited to WWW.KIDAPAWAN-ONLINE.COM. I browse my Facebook albums and look into my Mt. Apo photograph and compare it. The framing was the same, the clouds are the same, the only difference is my watermark is not present on it. It looks like my watermark was been cropped.

I still have doubts that photo was mine. So, I tried to registered on the WWW.KIDAPAWAN-ONLINE.COM in order for me to confirm it, but it was not easy to look all through out the website. So, I decided to use Google and search for “Mt. Apo WWW.KIDAPAWAN-ONLINE.COM and browse to the searched images.

While I'm investigating I found out that my photo used in WWW.KIDAPAWAN-ONLINE.COM was linked to my Flickr photo which has a Licensed under Creative Common.

I think www.interaksyon.com violated a Copyright Law on this.

  1. I forwarded your concerns to Interaksyon. WWW.KIDAPAWAN-ONLINE.COM was the one that used the photograph and as I understand, Interaksyon was merely "reposting" from said website, but nevertheless, the unauthorized use of your photo is the issue and maybe we could do something about it.
